Camp Wildhood is BACK! January is going to be wild.
We’re beyond excited to open our summer session of Camp Wildhood! Get ready for days full of classic camp games, crafts, and plenty of wild bush explorations.
If you’re new to Wild Wattle Nature Play, welcome! We are big on play, child autonomy, and getting muddy.
At Camp Wildhood, children will enjoy a play-based, ‘choose your own adventure’ experience. With endless opportunities to discover and learn in the stunning Australian bush, we welcome our budding artists, engineers, and explorers to shape their day exactly as they wish.
Our dedicated Camp Guides are here to provide support, connection, and a range of engaging activities which we invite the children to join as they wish.
Whether your child loves taking things at a relaxed pace or thrives on bold, energetic adventures, (or a mix of the two) our camp offers a space for all. At Wild Wattle Nature Play, we encourage every child to follow their curiosity, tune into their own rhythms, and find joy in connecting with nature.
We are an all-weather program and will run (and play) rain or shine!
The Important Details…
The camp will take place at our Bush Kindy location, equipped with toilets, running water, and a kitchen facility (Mt. Gib in Mittagong; address provided in the confirmation email). Please pack snacks, lunch, water, and (at least one!) complete change of clothes for your child. A detailed packing list and clothing recommendations will be sent with your booking confirmation e-mail.
Our camp is designed for children aged 2.5-8 years of age; children must be independently toileting to attend. Our guide-to-child ratio for camp is 1:6 or 1:10, depending on the children's age. We warmly welcome neurodivergent children and those with developmental differences. If you have any questions about support or accommodations, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Attendance options include:
Half Days: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Full Days: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Our program is priced at $18/hour, enabling us to hire experienced and dedicated guides, maintain proper insurance, cover the costs of resources and play materials, and care for the beautiful bushland where we play. Sibling discounts are available upon request; please reach out to us this.
