play in nature.

Born from a nostalgic love of a slow and wild childhood, our program offers little ones a chance to play, explore and adventure in the beautiful Australian bush.

let them be wild

let them be wild

Wild Wattle was born from my deep love for the outdoors and belief in what’s best for a child’s development.

I am formally trained as a teacher, holding a Master’s degree in the Psychology of Education. With over a decade of experience working with children as a teacher, mentor, play therapist, and education consultant, I have come to realise what is best for children and their development is often outside of the walls of a traditional classroom.

When I searched for local drop-off programs for my own son that aligned with his love for wild play and met my (perhaps exceedingly high) teacher-mom standards, I came up empty-handed—or was placed on a three-year waitlist (am I right?). Unable to find a program that felt right for him in the Highlands, I decided to create one myself.

Originally from Canada and now living in the Southern Highlands, my little family and I spend most of our free time in the backyard, the bush, or camping.

I am incredibly proud of this program and am so excited to welcome your little wild one into the native Australian bush to explore, adventure, and connect.
